Warning Signs of an Emergency

Loss of consciousness, seizures, disoriented

Difficulty breathing

Bleeding

Pale gum color

Fainting episodes

Persistence of bloody vomit/diarrhea

Extremely bloated abdomen

Retching unproductively, with or without abdominal distension

Collapse

Eye problems (of any kind)

Difficulty or inability to urinate

Inability to walk/move legs

Body temperature over 104 degrees or under 99 degrees

Difficulty delivering puppies or kittens

Porcupine quills

Lacerations

Severe hives or severe itching

History of:
- Trauma (hit by car, broken bones)
- Ingestion of foreign substances or toxins
- Electric shock
