Dr. Catherine Reese, DVM, DACVS
Board Certified Surgeon
Graduating from Cornell University in 1991, Dr. Reese attended Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated in 1995 with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Reese completed an internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston in 1996, and then completed a small animal surgical residency at Cornell University in 1999. After her residency, she returned to Angell as a staff surgeon for almost 12 years, where she was Director of the Surgery Residency Program and trained over 30 new surgeons. She was board certified as a specialist in Small Animal Surgery by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2001.
Dr. Reese is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the Massachusetts Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA), and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society.
Dr. Michelle Posage, DVM
Director of Behavior Medicine Services, Veterinary Behaviorist
Dr. Michelle Posage holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with concentrations in neurobiology and animal behavior, also from MSU.
As a veterinarian with a practice exclusive to animal behavior, Dr. Posage accepts referrals from other veterinarians and animal professionals to treat serious behavior issues in dogs and cats. Dr. Posage has published her research on animal shelter adoptions in the Journal of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a contributing author for the books, Shelter Medicine for Veterinarians and Staff and Mental Health and Well-being in Animals.
Dr. Posage is an adjunct instructor at the University of New Hampshire, Thompson School of Applied Science in Durham, NH and subscribers of the Nashua Telegraph newspaper enjoy her monthly pet column.
Dr. Posage is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA).
Taylor Tungseth, DVM
Emergency Veterinarian
Dr. Tungseth was born and raised in a suburb found just outside the Twin Cities in Minnesota, along the Mississippi River. Dr. Tungseth knew and proclaimed from a very young age that he would indeed one day become a small animal veterinarian – a dream which he is very proud to say is now reality. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Dr. Tungseth obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2014. He joined the emergency medical team at the at the Animal Medical Center of New England Emergency and Referral in June of 2014. His special interests include emergency medicine, internal medicine, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Tungseth resides in Manchester, New Hampshire with his canine companion, Abbey, who is a black Labrador mix. Abbey has endless amounts of energy and helps keep Dr. Tungseth company and busy while he is not working. In his spare time he enjoys sports, especially following Kansas State football and basketball teams (Go ‘Cats!) Dr. Tungseth also enjoys traveling, watching movies, Frisbee golf, and enjoying many types of craft brews, among other things.
Dr. Tungseth is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
Dr. Cecilie Brennan, DVM
Emergency and Intensive Care
Dr. Brennan grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Muhlenberg College in 2006. Eager to pursue a career in the veterinary field, Dr. Brennan moved to Massachusetts and worked as an ICU/ER technician during her four years of schooling at Tufts University’s School of Veterinary Medicine where she received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2010.
Following her graduation at Tufts, Dr. Brennan completed a rotating small animal internship at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital in South Weymouth Massachusetts from 2010 to 2011.
Dr. Brennan has a passion for emergency medicine and critical care. Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in both New Hampshire and Massachusetts, we are delighted to have her as a member of our staff at AMC.
Dr. Brennan is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS).
Dr. Kate Rydstrom, DVM
Emergency and Intensive Care
Dr. Kate Rydstrom, a native New-Englander, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland in 2005.
Prior to pursing her veterinary degree, Dr. Rydstrom worked as a research technician in the department of comparative medicine at MIT in Boston, Massachusetts. She was awarded her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California in 2011.
Dr. Rydstrom enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but is especially interested in emergency, cardiology, canine physical therapy, and sled-dog medicine.
Dr. Rydstrom is a member of the New Hampshire Veterinary Medical Association (NHVMA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), and the International Sled Dog Veterinary Medical Association (ISDVMA).
Katherine Roberts, DVM
Dr. Roberts received her Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Following graduation, she enrolled at the Tufts University Center for Animal and Public Policy and received her Masters of Science.
Her career has taken her many place, including, the Franklin Park Zoo in Boston, were she had the opportunity to work closely with African hoof stock and study Grevy’s Zebras in parts of Kenya.
Dr. Roberts attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2009. She completed her fourth year rotations at Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, she practiced mixed animal medicine in upstate New York.
Amy K. Snedaker, VMD
Dr. Snedaker is a native of Nashua and began planning her veterinary career at a young age. When the Animal Hospital of Nashua first opened its doors in 1985, Dr. Snedaker, then a fifth-grader at Fairgrounds Elementary School, eagerly began bringing her family’s pets to Dr. Bishop and learning about becoming a veterinarian.
She received her BS in Animal and Nutritional Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2000 and earned her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005, during which time she also conducted research in fertility preservation at the Center for Animal Transgenics and Germ Cell Research.
Dr. Snedaker resides in Wilton with her 8 year old daughter an 4 beloved cats.
